Known as the "City of Broad Shoulders," Chicago’s citizens not only work hard for themselves, but have a strong history of philanthropy dating back to the days of John D. Rockefeller and Marshall Field. Today, giving back is part of the culture with countless volunteer opportunities at various not-for-profit organizations.

World Relief Chicago is a Christian-based organization that eases refugees transition to living in the United States. There are a large number of volunteer opportunities, especially in tutoring English.
