Rockefeller and Marshall Field. Today, giving back is part of the culture with countless volunteer opportunities at various not-for-profit organizations.

World Relief Chicago is a Christian-based organization that eases refugees transition to living in the United States. There are a large number of volunteer opportunities, especially in tutoring English.
